OUR STORY

Legacy of Islamic Learning

Madarsa Shamsul Uloom Education & Welfare Trust was established in 1998 in the serene village of Baluwa Guwabari, Block Dhaka, District East Champaran, Motihari, Bihar. What began as a humble gathering under the shade of a banyan tree, with just 12 students and two passionate teachers, has now blossomed into a full-fledged residential madarsa serving over 480+ students annually.

Our journey is deeply rooted in reviving the traditional Islamic sciences — Quran, Hifz, Tafsir, Hadith, and Fiqh — while embracing modern education including English, Mathematics, and Computer literacy. For 26 years, we have remained a beacon of hope for orphans and underprivileged children, providing free education, boarding, and nourishment solely through community Zakat, Sadaqah, and voluntary contributions.

Today, we stand as one of the leading Islamic institutions in Bihar, recognized by the Bihar State Madarsa Board, and have produced over 145+ Huffaz who now lead prayers and teach Quran across India and abroad.

Message from the Secretary

Mohammad Zeaul Haque (Secretary, Madarsa Shamsul Uloom Trust)

"Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah. It fills my heart with immense gratitude to see how Allah's blessings have elevated this Madarsa. What started as a small dream has become a sanctuary for hundreds of children seeking Quranic knowledge and a better future. We are committed to providing zero-fee education, nutritious meals, and a safe spiritual home for every child, especially orphans. I invite you to partner with us — through Duas, Zakat, or volunteering — to keep this light shining. Together, we can raise a generation that carries the Quran in their hearts."
